John Mosby John Mosby was a short man when he was in the military, He weighed just 125 pounds. Mosby was an impetuous and indipendent man, which made him chafe under harsh military rule.
Forming Of The Rangers the rangers were formed in december 1862.they were formed by Cavalry Commnder Jeb Stuart. The origanal rangers were made up of men on leave from army units, convalescents, and civilians unwilling to enlist in the confederate cause.
Military Tactics and Captures The Rangers usually attacked in small groups and carried Colt.44 revolvers. In just one raid they captured Brigadier General Edwin Stoughton, 2 capyains and 30 nenlisted men.
Greatest Strenghth the date of their greatest strenghth was between 1864-1865. at their greatest strenghth the rangers had about 800 people, and Mosby controlled all the land between the Potomac and the Rappanahannock Rivers
