Loreta Velasquez

Marriage Loreta married four times. Each of her jusbands died in the war.

Life Span Loreta Velasquez was born in 1842, but no one knows the date she died.

Life as a child Loreta was born in Havana, Cuba to her aristocratic parents. She later eloped with her future husband at age 14.

Books Loreta wrote an autobiography of her experiance in the war. The book was called, ''The Woman in Battle.''

Army Loreta joined the Confedorate army and joined the 21st Louisiana Regiment. She then later joined the Army of East Tennessee.

Battles Loreta fought in the first battle of Bull Run on July 21st, 1861. She also fought in the battle of Shiloh, Ball's Bluff, and at Fort Donelson.

Loreta Supported the southern cause, and eventually fought for it.

Work Loreta first bacame a soldier, but after being injured, went home. Eventually she bacame a spy and tried atleast seven different disguises.

Undercover names Loreta first entered the army as a man named ''Harry Buford''

Work Loreta bacame a confedorate soldier but was dicovered when injured. She was discharged, then came back, using more than several different disguises. Later, she became a spy.
